ROME, GA – What is the ITA Newcomer of the Year, NJCAA First-Team All-American, and freshman national champion supposed to do during the fall of her sophomore season?

Win another national crown.

ASA Miami sophomore Tatiana Simova defeated Tyler College's (Tx.) Lucie Devier to win the 2019 Fall ITA Cup Singles Championship Saturday afternoon at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Georgia.

Simova cruised by the competition, winning the quarterfinals and semifinals in straight sets – 6-0, 6-4 and 6-2, 6-3 respectively – before doing the same to Devier in Saturday's final.

ASA Miami sophomore Soomin Kim fell to Devier in the semifinals, preventing it from being an all-ASA final. Kim took third place in the tournament, defeating Cowley Community College's Georgia Kaindoah 6-3, 6-2.
