HIALEAH, FL – Led by sophomore Valentina Restrepo's two second-half goals, ASA Miami rolled to a 3-0 victory over visiting Broward College Friday night at Milander Park.

The Lady Silver Storm (4-3-1, 1-0 Region VIII) scored all of their goals after halftime. Transfer sophomore Anika Duncan broke the scoreless tie in the 57th minute when she put the ball – and herself – into the net following a mishandled save attempt by the Seahawks goalkeeper.

Restrepo, an All-Region performer in 2018, gave ASA an insurance goal in the 79th minute when she got her foot on a ball in the box and kicked a laser into the corner of the net. The icing on the victory cake was Restrepo's penalty kick goal in the 85th minute to put ASA Miami up 3-0.

Friday's win marked the Lady Silver Storm's second straight shutout win over Broward College – adding to 2018's 1-0 win over the Seahawks on their home pitch.

ASA Miami will look to vault to the top of the Region VIII conference standings with a Sunday (September 22) morning showdown with Polk State College at Milander Park.
