DAYTONA BEACH, FL – ASA Miami's men's soccer team kicked off its season with a solid performance, as it cruised to a 3-0 victory over the University of Bahamas Saturday night on the rain-soaked pitch at Daytona State College.

The Silver Storm (1-0), who will be back in action on Sunday to face Andrew College (Ga.) in the backend game of their two-game set, jumped out early on the Flamingoes and never looked back.

Despite the torrential downpour that soaked the field after clear conditions during warmups, freshman Jonathan Moyano put the first goal in the net – on an assist from Ignacio Priluka – to put ASA Miami on the board. Priluka scored a goal of his own later in the first half on a penalty kick to allow the Silver Storm to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

ASA kept University of Bahamas off the board in the final 45 minutes as well while tacking on another goal – a Vladimir Segura score via penalty kick – to cruise the team's first win of the regular season.
