Waiters Tosses Four TDs; ASA Miami Improves To 6-1

Hialeah, FL. - Voshon Waiters has made a name for himself this season as a member of the ASA Miami football program. Thursday, Waiters threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns against Florida Sports Academy. That put him at 1,089 passing yards this season and 17 touchdowns. With that being said, the most impressive statistic for Waiters this season is that in the seven games he has played in, he is yet to throw an interception.

The Silver Storm's defense gave up an early score in the first quarter. That drive was set up with a 52 yard pass play and then ASA was called for roughing the passer. That put the Warriors inside the five yard line. The Warriors decided to go for two and converted making the score 14-8. That would be the only score that the ASA defense would allow all night. Sean Young had a punt blocked that the Warriors turned into two more points for a safety. ASA out-gained the Warriors 330 to 140.

Derick Python hauled in two of Waiters' four touchdowns. The first one going eight yards and second going 54 yards.

The ASA defense was very active and recorded four sacks and two interceptions. Sophomore Jalene Douse recorded his fourth interception this season. The other interception was made by Bernard Scott.

ASA Miami travels to Milledgeville, Georgia on November 5th for their second match up this season against #12 Georgia Military College.
