    Despite leading by a point at halftime and only trailing by one point with 3:46 left to play in the fourth quarter the Lady Silver Storm ultimately fell 73-64 to visiting Miami Dade College Saturday afternoon at The Dent.

    In spite of G’Torria Swinton’s ASA career-high 18 points and ASA program-record 21 rebounds, the Lady Silver Storm couldn’t overcome an early deficit and ultimately fell 61-49 to Broward College Wednesday night to open conference play at George E. Mayer Gymnasium.

    G’Torria Swinton recorded her fifth double-double of the season Tuesday, totaling 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Ta’Kyla Austin scored a game-high 17 points to lead ASA Miami women’s basketball team to a 63-33 victory over visiting Onondaga Community College at The Dent.

    The men traveled 10-plus hours to Niceville, Florida to play a pair of games at Northwest Florida State College – taking on Coastal Alabama-North this past Friday and the host NWFC Raiders the following night – but fell in both games, losing 102-85 and 99-61 respectively. ASA Miami’s women fared a bit better over the weekend, winning the program’s first-ever regular season game in a 100-81 victory over IMG Academy on Friday night, but losing 84-41 to host Florida Southwestern State College Saturday night.

    The Lady Silver Storm smashed multiple program records, including most points scored in a game – thanks to Amiyah Harley’s 32 points – as they defeated IMG Academy 100-81 Friday afternoon at Florida Southwestern State College to capture the program’s first-ever regular season victory.
