HIALEAH, FL. - ASA Miami athletic director Ken Wilcox announced the hiring of Kevin Johnson to become the new head women's basketball coach for the Silver Storm.
"Coach Johnson brings a great deal of experience at the junior college level." Wilcox said. "We believe that his experience at this level and his overall knowledge in the game of basketball will allow this program to compete right away within our region."
Johnson was the head coach at fellow Region VIII member - Broward College - for four seasons from 2008-2012. During the 2011-2012 season, the Seahawks finished 13-9, qualifying for the 2012 Region VIII Tournament in Marianna, Florida on the campus of Chipola College.
