ASA Miami Picks Up Second Consecutive Win Over Broward College

The ASA Miami Silver Storm came out strong and never looked back. ASA never trailed in today's game, leading by as much as 18. ASA went on to defeat Broward College for the second time this season.  The Silver Storm lead the season series over Broward College, 2-1. Led by Anthony Gomes, ASA connected on 12 three-pointers. The Silver Storm shared the ball well with 25 assists on 31 field goals. The Silver Storm shot 50.8-percent from the field, their second best of the season. Head Coach Jean Dubuisson said "Share the ball. I preach that. The more we share the ball, the better we are. When you look at this year's team, execution has been the biggest part of it. These guys are executing. Regardless of our size, we're executing."

The defense stood out as well. ASA scored 29 points of 21 Broward turnovers. Despite being outrebounded by 19, the Silver Storm defense stepped up and made crucial stops late in the game. Head Coach Jean Dubuisson commended the Silver Storm's team effort in today's game saying, "Defensively, Deiontre Morrow, when I subbed him in the game, he was talking, moving, causing chaos. It had to be a full team effort though. We were able to pick up a big win." 


  • Anthony Gomes recorded his third double-double of the season with 25 points and 12 assists (career-high).
  • Braithe Ferguson blocked 4 shots while three Silver Storm players recorded at least three steals.
  • Both Anthony Gomes and Braithe Ferguson scored 20 points.
  • With 25 points tonight, Anthony Gomes recorded his 700th point. He is ASA Miami's all-time leading scorer.
