ASA Miami Releases 2017 Football Schedule

HIALEAH, FL. - ASA College-Miami released their 2017 Football Schedule on Wednesday. The Silver Storm will take on three teams who finished last season ranked in the top 20 of the 2016 NJCAA Football Rankings. ASA Miami Football is independent and does not belong to an NJCAA conference due to their geographic location. ASA Miami is the only football program in the state of Florida. Next season, by playing five NJCAA opponents, the Silver Storm are eligible to receive an NJCAA bowl bid. 

The first notable matchup of the season is on September 2nd against fellow independent foe, Erie Community College. That game will be played at Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA.

Lackawanna College, the reigning North East Football conference champions finished as the 8th ranked team in the country in 2016. That game will be played on September 17th at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. 

Snow College and Georgia Military College finished 18th and 14th respectively in 2016. Snow will make the trip down to South Florida on September 23rd. Georgia Military is another independent team and the closest geographically to ASA Miami. ASA Miami will play a home and home against GMC in 2017 for the second consecutive season.

Other ASA Miami home games include Advance Prep Academy (Aug. 26), Advance Prep Academy (Oct. 7) and the University of Ft. Lauderdale (Oct. 28).

Nov. 4 - Georgia Military College
