ASA Miami Tennis Men Stay at Two; Women Move Up to Three in Latest ITA Rankings

HIALEAH, FLA. - The ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) team rankings came out on Thursday, March 15th. ITA releases rankings for NCAA Division I, II & III, as well as the NAIA and NJCAA. 

After wins over then-ranked No. 4 St. Petersburg and No. 8 Eastern Florida, the women's team moved up four spots from seven to third in the country. St. Pete falls to seven while Eastern Florida moves up two spots to six. The ASA Miami women are 8-1 on the season.

On the men's side, ASA Miami stayed put at number two behind Tyler Junior College. The Silver Storm is currently undefeated this season (4-0) with an impressive 8-1 victory over Region VIII foe, Eastern Florida.

Both ASA Miami teams will face some top notch competition over the next three days. Starting tomorrow, ASA will participate in the Pensacola College Tennis Invitational and take on Seward Community College. On Saturday, they will face No. 1 Tyler and Meridian Community College. ASA then wraps things up on Sunday vs. Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
